Do you remember the band “Chicago”? Their evocative song “I’ve Been Searching So Long” is here! It’s on this post, below! I can still remember where I was, and how I felt when I heard it. I was a busy and distracted teen, but this song woke something up inside me.
It was my “sixth sense”-that spiritual sensory response system we all have within us-but we don’t always know how to operate it.
There was another stunning song, “I See the LIght” from Rapunzel, that had a similar same effect on me, years later. It’s also on this post, above! Although it makes for a beautiful love song, I think it can also evoke “something beyond”, something profoundly spiritual, something of the love we carry for God, and for the things of heaven. Like the Chicago song, it evoked such tender feelings I needed to listen to it over and over!
This is mortality, and this is far from all there is. Heaven awaits us and our families. I am grateful for music that brings me back to center, as I am still prone to distraction!
I hope these songs reach into your heart too, and help you connect with “something beyond.”
Have a great week!!
